Ink is Inkwright's universal credit — every AI operation costs a fixed amount of Ink, determined by how much model work the operation actually requires.

• Model size — Quill, Manuscript, Folio, and Atelier tiers use our premium AI model; Free and Inkwell tiers use our standard model and receive an automatic 50% Ink discount on every operation.
• Work involved — a single one-click chapter (full per-chapter craft pipeline: outline, draft, developmental edit, line edit, humanizer pass, continuity extraction, and audit) costs ~150 Ink. One-click full novel generation batches economies of scale and runs at ~80 Ink per chapter.
• Length — a regular novel (~25 chapters) ≈ 2,000 Ink; a long novel (~40 chapters) ≈ 3,200 Ink; an epic novel (~50 chapters) ≈ 4,000 Ink.
• Smaller operations — character generation, outline passes, voice fingerprint extraction, cover art, and analysis each have their own Ink cost, shown before you run them.
• Refunds — Ink consumed by a failed generation is automatically refunded when the failure is detected on our side. Ink consumed by a successful generation is non-refundable.
